We can’t wait for the 2026 season to kick off. Harvesting will start sometime in June, reach out with any questions and be sure to check out our new farm tours!

Emma Fernald

Emma grew up between Mount Desert Island and Little Cranberry Island. She comes from a multi-generational commercial fishing family and recently got her own commercial lobster license. She also works as a sternman on her father’s boat and runs Bay Lady Scallops. She graduated from Lesley University with a BFA in Ceramics but came back to her roots on the Cranberry Isles full time and began working on the water.

This painting was done by Stephen Hillenberg, the creator of Spongebob and longtime summer resident of Little Cranberry Island. It is a painting of Emma’s dad’s last wooden lobster boat, the Bay Lady.
